As I was putting together today's News of the Day, Associated Press reported that the U.S. and Communist China (along with France, Britain, Germany, and Russia) had "reached an agreement on a package of incentives and penalties to be presented to Tehran" (via ABC News). In other words, the spirit of the Stalinist North Korea debacle is alive and well regarding Iran.
This is not what we should be doing. The Communist-backed mullahcracy should not be presented with any alternatives. Rather, the Iranian people should be presented with the alternative of getting their country back. As for the Administration and its counterparts in London, Paris, and Berlin, we return to the oft-stated question: Will they never learn?
